Snack time

Harmonica?

Emma enjoys her juice and cookie snack time.
She actually seems to enjoy the teething biscuits.
We are hoping this will help her get used to new textures
so we can gradually try more new foods.

Fun with the iphones

Jason and I have really been enjoying our iphones.
Here are some of our favorite pictures we've taken with them.
A few are with the regular camera too.

A President's Day Celebration!

Emma's 1st President's Day will mark a special
day in her history; the day she began to crawl!
When we finally stopped predicting when she'd do it,
she did it! At nearly 10 1/2 months!
We predicted she'd be crawling by Christmas,
then by Austin's Birthday.
Finally we said, who knows, maybe she'll skip
crawling and go straight to walking.
What did it take to motivate her?
The telephone of course!

Now the mobility adventures begin!

Play a little tune for me

Emma enjoyed playing on the piano with Mammaw Shirley
on our trip to Springhill to visit her and Pappaw John.

New foods, no thank you!

We have been gradually trying
to introduce new foods with texture to Emma.
So far she hasn't wanted any of it!
We tried the Gerber Puffs, which most babies love;
Emma enjoyed playing with them and making faces!

We also tried a teeny tiny bite of mashed potatoes,
which made her gag and throw up!
Slowly, but surely we'll find something she likes.
She has never been a picky eater with the baby foods,
and has eaten everything we've given her.
There's just something about foods with texture that she doesn't like.

New Tricks I Can Do!

Emma has always moved her hands a lot,
especially when she gets excited.
Lately she  enjoys waving one hand bye-bye.

She has also learned to clap her hands together!
